On December 12th, the Key Laboratory of Molecular Virology and Immunology of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) held its 5th Academic Committee Meeting in Institut Pasteur of Shanghai.

Prof. Zhihong HU and Prof. Zhigang TIAN gave invited lectures. Prof. Bing SUN, Director of the laboratory, presented general report in 2014 including overall objectives, scientific research, talent recruitment and training, and infrastructure development. Prof. Bing SUN also proposed a working plan on preparing for the coming CAS key lab evaluation next year.

The Academic Committee reviewed the research directions and talent recruitment of the laboratory and gave critical comments and suggestions on preparing for the coming CAS key lab evaluation. The Academic Committee also evaluated the applications to the open call-for-proposals of the laboratory in 2014.

The Academic Committee Meeting was chaired by Prof. Bing SUN. Other presented members including Prof. Hongbing SHU, Academician of CAS, from Wuhan University, Prof. Zhongtian QI from The Second Military Medical University, Prof. Sidong XIONG from Soochow University, Prof. Zhigang TIAN from University of Science and Technology of China, Prof. Jianguo WU from Wuhan University and Prof. Zhihong HU from Wuhan Institute of Virology, CAS.
