Measles and Rubella Elimination: Options for Public Health Interventions
December 2-5, 2019, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to solicit applications for the International Workshop on "Measles and Rubella Elimination: Options for Public Health Interventions" that will be held in the Training Center of the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City on December 2-5, 2019 (please see the attached poster, as well as the preliminary program on the website).
The course will be taught in English // No registration fees // Free accommodations will be provided

Interested candidates should download the application form at www.hkupasteur.hku.hk and follow the specified guidelines. Please return the completed form, including 1-2 letters of recommendation, to hku-pasteur@hku.hk. Selected candidates will be notified before October 11 and will receive an invitation letter together with details of local arrangements.
Objectives: The International Workshop on "Measles and Rubella Elimination: Options for Public Health Interventions" will discuss the current situation of the eradication program, the efforts of the health sector toward the elimination of measles and rubella, and the implementation of the proposed Operational Targets set by the WHO for 2020.
Participant Profile: The proposed workshop is specifically designed for health personnel, mainly—but not exclusively—from countries in South East Asia, including medical and health professionals, policymakers, and disease researchers, who are interested in expanding their critical understanding of the complex issues in the combat against measles and rubella within the context of the global WHO strategy towards their elimination as public health threats.
