Call for Recruitment - Research Associate Position in the Statistical Genetics of Bacteria Unit at Institut Pasteur of Shanghai, Chinese Academy of Sciences
The COVID-19 outbreak has increased the interest of the public in pathogen evolution but presenting accurate information in an engaging way is challenging. The statistical genetics of bacteria laboratory at the Institut Pasteur of Shanghai, Chinese Academy of Sciences, is a rapidly growing international group (currently 5 members, 4 nationalities) that analyses genome sequences to study the evolution of bacterial pathogens.
We are searching for a Research Associate in science communication to take a leading role in communicating the results of the laboratory both to fellow scientists and to the general public in China and worldwide. Position Level is flexible according to experience.
-Development of science communication projects, including for example writing broadly accessible summaries of scientific papers, organizing scientific meetings, and working groups that exploit the new opportunities afforded by modern communication technology.
-Assist with preparation of scientific documents, including translation from English into Chinese.
-Assist with daily life of the group, including budgeting, personnel matters etc.
-Bachelor degree or above
-Excellent English and Chinese communication skills
-Enthusiastic, entrepreneurial attitude
-Administrative experience preferred
