Institute Pasteur of Shanghai (IPS) and Institute of Pathogen Biology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College (IPB), signed a Research Cooperation Agreement in Shanghai on October 22. The two institutes will develop sustainable cooperation on the basis of complementary advantages, by giving full play to their strength of basic and clinical research. They will work together to promote science and technology innovation in the field of infectious diseases to contribute to public health of China. The two institutes will joint efforts to become a platform for innovative research and young scientists training.
Prof. Bing Sun, Co-Director of IPS and Mr. Qi Jin, Director of IPB signed on the Agreement. Mr. Qun Meng, Deputy Director Genenral of Science and Education Department, Ministry of Health, Mr. Jianxin Zhang, CPC Secretary and Vice- President of Shanghai Institutes for Biology Sciences, CAS, Mme Hong Huang, Deputy CPC Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau witnessed the signing ceremony with their warm congratulations.
After the signing ceremony, a discussion in-depth was opened between the participants of the two institutes. The topics covered mechanism of cooperation, research priorities, communication, etc.
