We are looking for Assistant / Lab Manager for the Arbovirus interspecies transmission and therapeutics research unit leading by Pr. Dimitri LAVILLETTE.

The candidate will assist the PI in the daily task of a research lab. One aspect will be administrative and the other lab management.

In term of administration, the candidate will be in charge of the interaction with IPS staff and PI. He/she will need to assist PI to apply international and China Grants by translating guidelines, filing budget and administrative parts, translate general IPS documents or mails, answer IPS requests and manage interaction with IPS staff in coordination with team PI. The candidate needs to be used to office automatic software, computer and typing. He/she occasionally may need to interact with French Foreign affairs for PI paperwork as well.

In term of lab management, the candidate will be in charge of:

-the financial management in coordination with the PI

-following lab equipment ordering and maintenance, purchase reagents, establishment and maintenance of regulations, quality and security, management of lab staff and organize the lab members’ tasks.

Depending of the work load, the candidate may help in basic experiments like cell bank management.

The candidate needs to be or have:

-motivated and interested to work in an international environment, patient, comprehensive

-master degree in Biology – major in virology will be a plus

-fluent in English - knowledge of French will be a plus

-experience of study/work abroad or travelling will be a plus
